The DFE’s very own Cody Marlow (23 years old/Allen, Texas) has accepted a full ride scholarship to play collegiate soccer for Texas Wesleyan University.
Cody Marlow is a defender from Allen, TX. At Allen High School he was a three year starter. He was a three-time 2nd-team All-District selection and was a two-time District Champion. His team also advanced to the State semi-finals. During Cody’s club career, he played for top club such as Southwest ’89 Gold, Dallas Inter, and FC Dallas in which he captained all three teams. With Southwest, his team reached the quarterfinals in the China Cup.
Texas Wesleyan posted an 11-6-2 record in 2011, marking a seven-game improvement over the previous season. Eleven wins matched the program’s highest total since 2003 (12-6-1). On the year, the Rams outscored their opponents 41-27, and the team featured five All-Conference selections including Dejan Milosevic who was named RRAC Defensive Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year. The 2012 Rams will kick-off the season on August 25, when they travel to Wichita Falls, TX, to take on Midwestern State University.
